I'm sure all the hip kids will have already noticed this, but as I was walking along Bridge Street yesterday I noticed that Bellina's ∗ had moved onto Bridge Street proper (next to the old Waterstones, two down from the RoundChurch).

As with prior public service announcements this is a gentle reminder that in the EU clocks go back early this Sunday morning.

Since at least one person has got it wrong already in my hearing (and reminded of the year that MethSoc got it on the wrong day), Shrove Tuesday aka Pancake Day is on this coming Tuesday, the 28th February.

I posted the very-simple-pancake-recipe last year.

For those of you watching in the EU and various other parts of Europe the clocks change tonight.

For those of you watching in America they change in a week (if at all).

In both locations we lose an hour (of sleep).

This is of course an archaic and stupid practice.

It occurs to me that we go back to GMT shortly. Is that this Saturday?

Nose-bleeding season appears to be resumed. If you notice me bleeding through my nose and running off to a convenient bathroom etc then please don't be worried; I'm used to it.
